There are various mythical tales associated with the Phakua feast, as well as religious and spiritual importance. The movie takes place over the course of a three-day celebration and relates the tale of Banka Kachari, which is joyfully celebrated, and Holika Dahan, which stands for the victory of truth over sin. Those in a group can sing and dance as well.
