Synopsis

Aalok, a history professor and Surabhi, a freelance writer, are a married couple in their mid 40s. Soon after their marriage, Surabhi fell from the stairs and hurt herself, due to which they could not have a child.

They move into a house owned by a widower who lives next door with his son, Hari, and his young daughter, Janvi.

As the days pass, Surabhi befriends Janvi and Aalok helplessly feels attracted to the girl. Aalok’s attraction turns into confusion when he notices that Janvi may have something to tell him in private. His dilemma intensifies when Surabhi shares with him what Hari told her about Janvi’s deteriorating mental health since their mother’s death.

One evening Aalok’s nightmare comes true when, in Surabhi’s absence, Janvi comes to see him. How will Aalok deal with the awkward situation? What does Janvi want to tell him?
